Welcome to our 9th season of
Hawks’ boys basketball.
Coming off our varsity boys winning the North Carolina Homeschool State
Championships last February, the Hawks hope again to be competitive
with their opponents. Our program is run and led by Christian
homeschool dads who desire to build a godly character in their boys
that is not only reflected on the court but also in their overall walk
with Christ.
The regular season ends late February 2010 with the
North Carolina State Homeschool Basketball Championships. For
our
postseason, We plan to attend the Eastern Homeschool Basketball
Championships at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., March 15th to
the 20th.

Costs
•
Monthly practice/game fees: $95 per player ($55 for
additional players). Does not include tournament or post
season
play. Fees should be paid on the first practice of each
month.
Payments run Oct through February. There will also be a
practice
fee in March if player chooses to attend the post season tournament.
• Team uniforms are mandatory. For
the JV/Varsity players we use a high quality reversible elite (two
sided for home and away games) that will last many years if cared for.
The cost is about $95. Middleschool players purchase a one sided jersey
only. The cost is about $25.
• Liability fee $17
•
Admission fees: Most games (including some of our own home
games), charge an admission fee for spectators. We will try
to
let you know the admission fees for the coming week on the Friday
before. All admission fees will be paid at the door.
•
Tournaments Fees. There will be per player costs for all
tournaments to cover the Hawk’s entry fee and the coach’s travel, food
and lodging costs. Except for the regional and state
championships held in February, players may opt out of participation in
tournaments without being responsible for the tournament fees.
• Transportation:
Those who would like to be on a list for car pooling to practices and
games may indicate so on the sign up sheet. When available,
if
players choose to take the team van there will be a 10 cents per mile
charge. We also suggest a similar payment if your son is car
pooling with another family and you are unable to reciprocate with the
same service.
Fund-raising: If
desirable, the team may organize fund raising to cover program fees and
supplement players travel expenses to tournaments.
