
The
Christian Community offers beginning and competitive stroke swim
lessons each Monday or Thursday, beginning September 19, 2011. Each child
registered for lessons will receive instruction once per week for six
weeks. Final placement verification for new members and first-time
sign-ups will be decided by the head swim coach (Matt Finneran).
Competitive Stroke Instruction Class (ages 5 & up)
This
class is designed to prepare a younger or inexperienced swimmer for the
demands and skills of the regular homeschool swim team. The instruction
will concentrate on a thorough teaching of rhythmic-breathing freestyle
and the beginning basics of backstroke, breaststroke and the underwater
dolphin kick. Requirements: Child should be able to front float (face
down) and back float with no limb movement for at least 5 seconds and
propel themselves in the water, head down, without stopping for at
least 15 yards. Child should have no fear of swimming or jumping into
deep water.

Level evaluations: If you need your child to be evaluated for swim lessons please bring your child to the Triangle Aquatic Center at 12:30 on Monday, Sept. 19 or Thursday, Sept 22. It would also help if you e-mailed your plan to tryout or be evaluated to finneranmc@aol.com
Adult
and
Private Lessons
available on request. It’s just no good if Mom and Dad can’t swim.
Learn the basics of swimming in the friendly environment of TAC. Or if
you’re an experiences swimmer get some professional help in fine tuning
your strokes. For times and fees, please contact Matt Finneran at 404-4948.

in Cary, adjacent to the Sears’ parking lot at the
Cary Towne Center mall.
Schedule:
Session ICost: $60 per child, $50 for second child and $40 for third child. Additional children are $20 each.
