Hawks: There are a few bumps in the road for this week's
contests. 1. Because of the same day JV game in Wilson, we only
have nine available for the varsity v. Wake Christian on Tuesday, April
5; so check the rosters and make sure you attend the correct
game! 2. Thursday, April 7, at Cary Academy may be a JV
game (instead of Varsity). It's listed varsity but I had a verbal
agreement for jv....I will try to confirm either way by Tuesday. All
players on both squads should be ready to play. 3. I have not
heard back for the varsity game location Friday, April 8, in Charlotte
(and am having difficulty getting up with them). Hopefully all
these things will work out in a timely fashion.
Also, the updated schedule is attached. JV has two additions scheduled.
Finally,
due to our much needed varsity 9-6 win over Richmond on Saturday, we
are having a special team get together at Remington Grille after
practice tomorrow (Monday). All ms/jv/var players and parents are
invited. Those players who were at the games on Saturday get
their dinners paid for (as agreed by a generous parent who wishes to
remain anonymous). Remington Grille has as very reasonable menu.
Monday, April 4
Practice all teams, 4:00 to 5:30
Team
Dinner afterwards at Remington Grille (across street by the
Wal-Mart). Players who were part of the "no-more-monkey" victory
get their meals paid for free.
