2010-2011 Hawks Boys Homeschool Basketball
Welcome to our 10th season of Hawks’ boys basketball. Coming
off a 3rd and 8th place finish by our middleschool and varsity teams in
the 2010 East Coast Homeschool Championships, the Hawks are looking
forward to another exciting season. Our program is run and
led by Christian homeschool dads who desire to build a godly character
in their boys that is not only reflected on the court but also in their
overall walk with Christ.
Highlights Of The 2009 Varsity NCHE State
Championship Game
The
regular season begins on October 1 and ends in February
2011 with the North Carolina State Homeschool Basketball Championships
Feb. 25 & 26. For our postseason, we plan to attend
the Eastern Homeschool Basketball Championships at Liberty University
in Lynchburg, Va., March 15th to 19th
Middle

tryouts. Please

Eligibility Requirements:
All players must be registered with the NCDNPE. by the first seasonal
game.
Middleschool: 13 & under as of Sept. 1, 2010
Junior Varsity: 16 & under as of Sept. 1, 2010
Varsity: 18 & under as of Sept. 1, 2010

*Because of the number of scheduled games, we may practice only one day
on a particular week. Or because of a game falling on a practice
day, there may be an additional practice offered on a
different day at a different location.
Costs
• Monthly practice/game fees: $95 per player ($55
for additional players). Does not include tournament or post
season play, uniforms or travel expenses. Fees should be paid
on the first practice of each month. Payments run Oct through
February. There will also be a additional practice fee in
March for post-season tournament preparation.
• Liability fee $17
• Admission fees: Most games (including some of our own home
games), charge an admission fee for spectators. We will try
to let you know the admission fees prior to each
game. All admission fees will be paid at the door.
• Tournaments Fees. There will be per player costs for all
tournaments to cover the Hawk’s entry fee and the coach’s travel, food
and lodging costs. Commitment to the Hawks program includes
participation in the Regional, State and East Coast tournament.
Team uniforms are mandatory. Cost to be determined.
Fund-raising: If desirable, the team may organize fund
raising to cover program fees and supplement players travel expenses to
tournaments.
