We
are on for everything this week and begin our Christmas Break the
following week (Dec. 17) which runs until we pick up with the full
schedule (water polo, lessons, masters, Platinum, Silver, Blue) on Jan.
12-14. However, we will have a couple of practices available on Jan 5
and/or Jan 7 for the swim team and masters. I will get that
information out by early next week.
We are also looking at starting an advanced competitive stroke class
called the White Team when we begin up again. It would run on Tuesdays
and Thursdays from 1:00 to 1:45 in the lap pool. The purpose would be
to allow swimmers who are strong enough to make 25 yards
consistently--but don't have the legal swim strokes down yet--to have
additional time in the water to work on their strokes, starts and turns
to expedite moving up to the Blue team and the all-deep course. I
can't say this is definite, but I am trying to work it into our
schedule.
Also, I often get asked the question why the monthly costs are the same
for months we only have three weeks of practice and not four. The
monthly payments are based on a nine-month tuition for the school year
and our total days of practices at TAC. We practice for 32 weeks out
of the 37 possible weeks from Labor Day 2009 until May 20, 2010 (and
that doesn't include any extra day(s) we may have supplement practices
for the Holiday breaks). Some months may have more practices than
others (like when we take Christmas & Easter Break), but the
monthly costs remain the same to average out our total rental days at
TAC.
Speaking of the Holiday Break, don't take for granted the blessing of
being home with your family and enjoying Christmas together this year.
The applecart of righteous government is quite unsteadied, if not yet
ready to topple over. Our freedoms seem to be evaporating at the rate
our national debt is increasing (which may not be a coincidence, since
money is the root of all evil). My prayer for all of our families is
that we have the privilege to enjoy this holiday season next year also
with our religious liberties still in tact and our constitution
defended by righteous men in key positions of our government.
Thanks for all your support in 2009. It means a lot to our family. Look forward to seeing everyone again in 2010!

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; Who pardons
all our iniquities; Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life
from the pit; Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; Who
satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed
like the eagle. -Psalm 103:1-5
